About the Founder
Mark J. Doddy grew up in the South Bay, Sunny Southern California. He Graduated in 2002 from Cal. State Long Beach where he had the pleasure of meeting Steven Spielberg. Mr. Spielberg had returned to finally earn his B.A. Degree in film. Perhaps he thought it would be best to have a backup plan in case his Film Career didn't work out.
Right out of Film School Mark J. Doddy worked for Propaganda films creating script treatments for the Production staff. During Mark's career at Propaganda films he worked on the films "Being John Malcovich" "Adaptaion" and "Auto-Focus ( the Bob Crane story).
At the age of 23, Mark got his first full time gig running a Cable Access Television station as the TV Coordinator for Torrance Community Television. He balanced his growing film career as both a Producer and an Editor. He simultaneously worked on various shorts and Feature Films like "The HELIX", a Parody of the Matrix starring 90’s Rap Legend Vanilla Ice. During Mark's Time as TV Coordinator for the Cable Access Station (TCtv ) he crated a digital workflow for the first time with the purchase of 5 State of the art Avid editing rooms. Mark also produced Music Videos with Dialated Peoples, Defari and Dog Pound Rapper Korrupt.
Mark continues to balance his duel film and video careers. Currently working for Checkmate films as a Director of Photography ("Eye Candy" & "Westcoastin") , Moondaz film as a film Producer ("Leave it on the Court") and various other short films and feature work ("KillerTumbleWeeds", "Dr. Demento" and "The Devils Own Work" "Dominion" & "The Guardian" referenced at www.imdb.com).
Mark has now moved on from TCtv and is currently station manager for an Award winning Government/Educational Channel for the beautiful City of Rancho Palos Verdes Channel 33 (Cox) Channel 38 (Verizon) - check local listings. Through RPVtv Mark J. Doddy has won six National Telly Awards for his work with Vin Sculy, the Dodgers, The L.A. Auto Show and Terranea Resort.
Mark also teaches Film & Video Production to High School and Adult students throughout the Southbay.
